Maria Armenaki has the model fabric that you would meet on the catwalk of haute couture. Reminiscent of Alessandra Ambrossio and Kendall Jenner. And if the latter emerged on the catwalks from the famous Kardashian family, Maria Armenaki managed to win with her sword a title in the Cypriot (and not only) fashion industry and in our hearts.
Just 17 years old, born on August 2000, XNUMX, hence her name. Hailing and growing up in the touristy Ayia Napa, he was involved in sports, acting, dance and modeling from a very young age. Her biggest goal is to leave little Cyprus to walk in the most famous haute coutoure fashion shows abroad.
A few days after winning the title of Miss Cyprus at this year's TVONE TV beauty pageants, we met her at the Nissi Beach Hotel where she talked to us about beauty pageants and revealed her grandiose but feasible plans.

Why did you decide to get involved in modeling?
First of all, I liked the idea of modeling from a young age. I grew up with the dream of becoming a model. I did not have exactly one reason to start modeling, I was just interested and as the years went by I knew that this is what I would like to pursue as a career.
How did the participation in Star Cyprus come about? How did you make the decision and who supported you?
My participation in the beauty pageants was literally last minute. I was in England and so it was not in my plans. It just happened very suddenly and I'm happy about how things turned out.
Many say that modeling and beauty is a tough and competitive place. Did you make friends through space and play?
Indeed, modeling and beauty is a tough and competitive place but through the competition I have made friends and I am very happy to have met all the girls. The friendships that we have created, all the contestants did not appear through the television, but Ioulia Afentikidou and Mariam Hadjigeorgiou and I have become very good friends.
What are your dreams?
My dream is to succeed as an international model and actor.
Your role model in the field of modeling?
My role model in the field of modeling is Naomi Campbell.
Three favorite designers?
My favorite designers are Donatella Versace, Olivier Rousteing and Ermanno Scervin.
What are your immediate plans?
My immediate plans are the preparations for Miss Earth 2018 where I will represent Cyprus abroad and at the same time modeling.
Would you give up everything for a modeling career?
I have already given up many things for a modeling career, such as my dance college in England. But what I want to do in my life requires a lot of sacrifice and I think it's worth it.
Would you participate in Star Cyprus again?
I would not participate in Star Cyprus again because my initial goals in the competition have been achieved and I am happy with the result.
Would you dare to make a career in television?
I would very much like to make a career in television because one of my dreams is acting.
There are many girls who want to get involved in modeling. What messages do you want to send them?
To girls who want to get involved in modeling I would tell them that it takes a lot of patience and not to compare themselves with others because we are all different and each has its own value.
