The presence of local and foreign visitors in the two-day events of the "2nd Festival of Traditional and Exhibition of Traditional Products" which took place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 August, in the street and in the Amphitheater of the Municipal Museum "Thalassa" and organized by the Municipality of Agia cooperation with the Center for the Promotion of Traditional Products of Cyprus.
The inauguration of the Teles FestivalOn Saturday, August 11, the Mayor Mr. Giannis Karousos who in his greeting stated that after last year's great success the Municipality decided not only to organize it for the second time but to make it an institution because as he mentioned through this type of events are promoted the genuine traditional products of our place and the Cypriot Culture of our country in general.
In the area of the Festival there were kiosks where the visitors had the opportunity to get to know up close and taste the traditional products of our place such as tsamarela, halloumi, aniari, twisted potato, palouzes, pasteli, lokmades, to drink fresh juices, organic herbal tea and plenty of local wine.
The vrakas with the grape press have made a special impression on the public (many were the ones who came to be photographed with him), a method that was used in the old days to melt the grapes and make wine and other grape dishes.
The two-day events of the Festival were adorned with a rich artistic program presented by the Dance Club of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, "Kimon" Xylotympou, the Music Band "O Konstantinos Tziovannis and his company", the Dance Ensemble "The Musical" Aradipos " - Nancy Trachonitou, Efthymios Papadopoulos, the Dance Club "Sta chnarka tis paradosi" Giolou Paphos, the Music Ensemble "O Mikri Rebetes" and the Dance Group "Rhythmos". Folk poets also took part with their chiattista and erotic songs.
