According to the court's decision, the defendant was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm under Article 231 of the Criminal Code and faces up to seven years in prison.
The defendant was also found guilty of charges relating to leaving the scene of an accident and charges of contravening the Speed ​​Boats Regulations Act.

Specifically, at the above time and place, the 54-year-old, while he was the operator of a speed boat, was involved in a marine accident with a towing inflatable being towed by a water sports boat, resulting in the serious injury of a 31-year-old expatriate from Britain who at the time in question was aged 25 years old.

The case was set to 19/12/23 for a motion by defense counsel for mitigation while the 54-year-old remained in custody.
