The problems plaguing the Frenarous industrial area were discussed by the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry Natasa Pileidou with a delegation of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVEA) during the Minister's visit to the free province of Famagusta.
An announcement of EVEA states that the Minister's visit to the free province of Famagusta took place on Monday, June 28. A meeting followed at the offices of the Frenaros Community Council, in the presence of the Minister and a delegation of the Ministry, a delegation of the Chamber headed by its President Augustinos Papathomas while the CCCI was represented by the Director of Industry Andreas Andreou.
It is added that in the meeting chaired by the Mayor of Frenaros Michalis Hatzigiorkas, OEB and the Committee of the Industrial Area of Frenaros were also represented. During the meeting, various problems were presented that plague the Frenarous Industrial Area, while an exchange of views took place and specific actions were taken in coordination with the Famagusta Chamber.
This was followed by visits to industries operating in the Frenaros Industrial Area where Natasa Pileidou and her associates had the opportunity to receive the pulse of the industrial world of the Famagusta free area.
According to the announcement, the Minister of Energy and her associates attended a working lunch hosted by EVEA, which was attended by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, the Secretary General of the CCCI, the Vice President of the CCCI, the Vice President of the Cyprus Electricity Authority and industrialists with headquarters industrial areas of the free area of Famagusta.
During the working lunch "an open discussion took place in a cordial and constructive atmosphere where the industrialists presented issues that concern the region.
