Today will be the funeral of the President of the Community Council of Liopetri, Kyriakos Trisokkas, who passed away yesterday at the age of 70.
A written announcement of the Community Council of Liopetri states that "the funeral of Kyriakos Trisokkas will be held today 21/12/20 at 1430 at noon in the large church of Panagia Eleousa Liopetri. The funeral will be held at Community expense, all protection measures against the coronavirus and the use of a protective mask are necessary, while those who wish can donate to the Charitable Institutions of the Community ".
It is added that both the Community Council and the whole Community "are shocked by the death of Kyriakos Trisokkas, who was for 26 years a Commonwealth, distinguished for his hard work, morals, kindness and love for all the world. He was married and the father of two children. "
The Community Council of Liopetri decided "the suspension of all activities - work of the Community Council for today, Monday, December 21st. Also, all the flags that are in Community buildings and in important reference points of Liopetri, will wave at midnight for forty days ".
Meanwhile, the Municipalities of Paralimni, Ayia Napa, Deryneia and Sotira express "deep sorrow and condolences to the family and the Community of Liopetri" with their announcements, noting that he was "an active and dynamic man, with hard work and ethos and a vision for Liopetri, for the development and progress of which he fought hard and managed to achieve a lot ".
In a written statement, the Union of Communities of Famagusta "expresses its deepest sorrow for the untimely death of the distinguished collaborator and friend Kyriakos Trisokkas, President of the Community Council of Liopetri.
