With awards for their actions they left Cyprus Education Leaders Awards 2021 two schools in the province of Famagusta. This is Paralimni High School and the private school Xenion which won two awards at the ceremony held for the third consecutive year by Boussias Communications on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, in Lemon Park, Nicosia in the presence of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Annita Dimitriou.
Paralimni High School
Paralimni High School won two awards in the subcategory "Bonding with Society" in the category "Infrastructure, Culture, Extroversion" and more specifically:
- GOLD: Actions of Support and Empowerment of the Refugee Children of the Primary School of Kofinos by students of the Lyceum of Paralimni. Pupils of our Lyceum in the framework of the European Parliament Ambassador School Program (EPAS) developed actions of empowerment and support of students / three with immigrant biography who attend the Primary School of Kofinou: entertained the young students with children's songs , made banners with messages of friendship in their mother tongues, got involved in activities to get acquainted with the European Union and its values and created the corner of Europe. - SILVER: Innovative Actions for the Regeneration and Improvement in Issues of Accessibility and Security of the Area Perimeter of Paralimni High School. Awarded to the students and teachers of the PULCHRA team of Paralimni High School, for their research work on: "Innovative actions for the regeneration and improvement in terms of accessibility and security of the area around the Paralimni High School". In the category "Infrastructure, Culture, Extroversion" Xenion Education won two awards in two separate subcategories:
- BRONZE: Xenion Education - Xenion Institute - Celebrating Learning - The importance of rewarding students along their path of academic achievement (Subcategory "Reward of Excellence")
- SILVER: Xenion Education - Redefining globalization in education; Learning while eliminating borders and connecting people. (Subcategory "International Academic Cooperation")
