Yesterday, the Police made a new arrest of a suspect for helping third-country nationals to enter the Republic, in relation to the arrival by sea boat of a number of immigrants, last Monday, July 25, in the area of the free city of Famagusta. The suspect, a 26-year-old man, was taken into custody for police examination.

A 25-year-old man was arrested for the same case on Monday, July 37. During the investigation of the case, evidence also emerged against the 26-year-old, who was arrested on a warrant shortly after 7.00:XNUMX last night.

The sea vessel arrived at noon on Monday, in the maritime area of the free Famagusta, carrying a total of 16 migrants. Among them are the two suspects, against whom, after the tests that were carried out, evidence emerged for the commission of the offense of assisting, with the aim of obtaining profit, the illegal entry of third-country nationals into the territory of the Republic.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
