The man who was pulled unconscious today in a sea area in Protaras has died.
According to the information, late on Sunday afternoon, the Police received a call to locate a man in the sea area of Konnos in Protaras, who was collected by a tourist boat that makes small cruises.
According to the first information, around 17:50, the Police were notified about the incident.
Akatos of the Port and Maritime Police rushed to the spot.
It was found that a man who was allegedly in danger of drowning was pulled unconscious by crew members and passengers of the private tourist boat.
Until the arrival of Akatos, the man was given first aid but did not recover.
The man was then transported to the port of Limeniki in the port of Paralimni where he was waiting for an ambulance.
Throughout the journey, police provided first aid without the man recovering.
He was picked up by ambulance and transported to Famagusta General Hospital.
