According to an announcement by the Police, in the province of Famagusta, around 5 pm on Saturday, April 8, 2023, members of the National Police stopped a car, driven by a 36-year-old man, on a road in Paralimni.
A precision scale and three packages containing cannabis with a total gross weight of 36 grams were found and confiscated in the 9-year-old's possession. As a result, the 36-year-old was arrested for an unprovoked crime.
A search of his home followed where a number of packages containing cannabis with a total gross weight of approximately 218 grams and a handmade cigarette containing cannabis were also located and seized.
The 36-year-old was taken into custody to facilitate the interrogations.
