The investigators of the TAE Famagusta are investigating a case of theft and arson in a car. Specifically, on 10/1/24 at 2110 hours, a car owned by a 31-year-old woman from Paralimni was stolen from outside a kiosk in the Paralimni saloon.

At the time of the theft, it was driven by the 31-year-old's husband, who parked the mentioned vehicle at the stand without locking it and leaving the keys in it. On the same day and around 2130 hours, information was received that despite the Liopetriou flyover there was a fire in a vehicle.

Members of the TAE Famagusta visited the two scenes and it was established that the burning vehicle was the vehicle of the 31-year-old woman.

Examinations carried out at the scene of the car theft revealed CCTV footage of two people on an unidentified motorcycle wearing full face helmets approaching the car and the passenger getting off. the motorcycle and to board the vehicle and then drive it followed by the motorcycle driver.

The fire in the car was extinguished by the Famagusta fire service and it was ruled out for the examination to continue at the first light of day. The TAE of Famagusta is investigating.
