An admittedly shocking image that perfectly captures the situation imposed by the pandemic in the last year was immortalized and posted by the well-known videographer Nikolas Petrou.
He posted two pictures on his social media on the night of Holy Saturday. In one, an aerial image with a drone which he recorded with a drone in 2019 and which shows the crowded precinct of the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios in Paralimni with the lighted candles.
In the second, he managed to recreate the same image from the same point, last night after the "Good Word". In the new image, the faithful appear scattered and sparse, holding their candles lit, an image that depicts the passage of a few believers to the temples on the night of the Resurrection procession.
