For a few days now, a post has been circulating on social media where a lady claims that the "golden man" of Protaras tried to steal her ring from her hand, but also to attack her indecently.

It all happened, she writes, when she and her partner passed by, at the place where the specific "golden man" usually stands, who is known to be photographed with the world as one of the "attractions" of the area.

He describes the incident, mentioning various things that he claims he was telling her, and concludes that in the end they gave him € 2 for the photo they took in order to be "released".

In the second part of the post, he adds that, two days later, he heard a man from England fighting with the "golden man", allegedly because the second stole from his first fiancée a handmade ring worth 5.000 pounds. In fact, he cites a photo that was taken 10 minutes ago, in a bar, in which it seems that the ring was in place, in the hand of his fiancée.

The lady states that she called the police, that a policeman came on the spot, checked but did not find anything on the "golden man", adding that she was not surprised since it was very likely that she had managed to give it to someone else… since this is the way that "work".

And she ends up in her post urging us to be careful when we go through there…
