The Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Theodoros Pyrillis expressed his support for the candidacy of Nikos Christodoulidis through his personal post on his personal account on Social Media.

The Mayor of Paralimni in his post states that he made his decision with the sole criterion of the future of the Free District of Famagusta.

His post as it is

Dear friends,

Sunday's election is approaching and each one of us will be called upon to make our choices.

I personally decided to announce my choice, which I received with the sole aim and criterion of the FUTURE of the Free Province of Famagusta. With this criterion I have learned to act throughout my life and especially in the last 12 years that I have been serving the Municipality of Paralimni from the position of Mayor.

Mr. Averof Neophytou as well as Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis visited the free Famagusta District several times during the pre-election period. They met with all the Municipalities and Communities, heard the problems from many organized bodies of the free Province and have formed their own opinion on the following:

a) Regarding how neglected our Province is.

b) That 70% of our young people leave our Province.

c) That our organized bodies are not taken into account in the decision-making centers.

d) That during the winter season our Province is in hibernation and has the lowest per capita income in Cyprus, by quite a large difference from the other Provinces.

e) They expressed opinions aimed at solving the problems of the Free Province of Famagusta, as well as the intention of co-deciding on the issues that concern us.

For his part, Mr. Mavroyiannis visited our Province 4-5 times for complimentary visits and gatherings.

a) He was not interested in knowing the problems of the Municipalities and Communities and he never mentioned (perhaps because he does not know) that Famagusta District is neglected.

b) Perhaps he thinks that we are a small region that functions as an extension of the Larnaca Province, and that the decisions taken by the Government for Larnaca also concern Famagusta.

c) It was probably pointed out to him that Famagusta MPs who live in other Provinces express an opinion and decide for us.

d) He either believes, or was misled, that the Province is rich and everyone is prosperous.

Dear friends,

Based on the above and with the sole criterion of the future of the Free Province of Famagusta, I have decided to support the candidacy of Nikos Christodoulidis.

The Free Province of Famagusta has both a reason and a role to play. Nothing will keep her down!

On Sunday we choose Nikos Christodoulidis!
