The newly formed Famagusta Cycling Team has significant successes. Just a few months after its foundation, its athletes are successful in pan-Cypriot competitions, while next Sunday, the first pan-Cypriot race in the province will be organized.
The successes
Last Saturday, May 19, the team participated in one of the most difficult and demanding road cycling races, the "0-2000" starting in Limassol and finishing at the top of Troodos. Two athletes of the Association achieved distinctions. They are Tassos Anastasiou who won the 3rd place in the Master 3 category and Konstantinos Kouskoullis who won the 3rd place in the CFA category.
Also on Sunday, May 13, the Association participated in the Nireas Triathlon in Larnaca, where the athlete Charalambos Charalambous won third place in the team triathlon.
Pancyprian Sprint Race on Sunday
As part of its events, the Famagusta Cycling Team organizes for the first time its own cycling race Famagusta Sprint Race 2018 on Sunday, May 27, 2018. The race is the 7th race of the Cyprus 2018 Road Cycling Cup and is held under the auspices of the Cyprus Cycling Federation and is included in the NATIONAL SPRINT SERIES category. All official categories and CFAs with road bikes can take part in the race.
