The Fire Service was mobilized in the area of Agia Thekla in the province of Famagusta.
According to the press officer of the Fire Service, Andreas Ketti, the fire broke out around 11:33 in the morning on Monday, July 24, 2023, and the Famagusta Fire Station responded with two fire engines to extinguish it.
The fire was burning dry grasses, acacias, trees and pillars of A.H.K.
A semi-truck parked in a field was also affected by the fire. The fire is under control and has burned a total area of about three decades.
The causes are being investigated.
