At 1.926 vacancies in the 4th quarter of 2016

The number of vacancies rose to 1.926 in the 4th quarter of 2016, showing a decrease of 6% on an annual basis, as the number of vacancies in the 4th quarter of 2015 was 2.049, according to data released by the Statistical Service.

The largest decrease is presented in the sector of Mines and Quarries with -100,0% and the largest increase (439,2%) is presented in the sector of Public Administration and Defense, Compulsory Social Security.

Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2016, a decrease of 3.063 positions was observed, which corresponds to a percentage decrease of -61,4%.

The total vacancy rate in the 4th quarter of 2016 was 0,6%, while the previous quarter was 1,5% and the corresponding quarter of 2015 was 0,7%.

The highest percentages of vacancies for the 4th quarter of 2016 are presented in the Sectors: Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities (1,0%) and in the Other Service Activities (1,0%). (Table 2)

The survey covers companies with 1 or more individuals classified in all Economic Activity Sectors under the NACE Rev.2 Code of Economic Activity except Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Household Activities as Employers, Non-Differentiated Household Activities, production of goods and services for own use and the Activities of Heterogeneous Organizations and Bodies.
