The 4th International Book Fair of Cyprus officially opened its doors, the holding of which every two years is now an institution for the Holy Diocese of Constantia and Famagusta since its reconstruction in 2007.
The exhibition which this year has as its theme "Culture of Peace", is an event that is a pole of attraction for hundreds of residents of the free province of Famagusta locals and foreigners and which through the various events related to the theme (of the Exhibition) and the book , the artistic events, visits of students of Primary and Secondary Education, etc., aims to enrich the cultural events of the free province of Famagusta and beyond.
This top event is under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis and His Beatitude the Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. Chrysostom.
The inauguration of the Exhibition took place on the morning of Sunday, October 16, 2016, by His Beatitude the Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. Chrysostomos and Mr. Theodosis Tsiolas representing SA the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis and the Government.
It was preceded by a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios in Paralimni, presided over by His Beatitude and collaborator of the relevant Metropolitan Mr. Vassilios. The Divine Liturgy was also attended by the most panosiological Archimandrite Ieronymos Pyliotis, Archim. Augustinos Kkaras Protosyggellos, the Hierarchical Commissioner Prot. Christos Vourgias and the priests of the church. During the Divine Liturgy, the annual memorial service of the blessed Metropolitan of Austria, Mr. Michael, was held.
