DONOR DR. ARTEMIS HATZIPANAGIS IN MEMORY OF HIS MOTHER
A new donation, in addition to the recent amount of 3 million euros, was made by the doctor, Dr. Artemis Hatzipanagis, in memory of his late mother, Chrystallous Hatzipanagis, and in honor of the village of Platres, which was his second home.

Specifically, Dr. Artemis Hatzipanagis offered the amount of 50.000 euros and the University of Cyprus, as a minimum sign of gratitude for the donor's offer, will give an amphitheater and a classroom, which are located inside the campus, the names

"Chrystallou Hatzipanagi" amphitheater and "Platres" classroom.

It is worth noting that the two rooms are located inside the building, for the construction of which Dr. Artemis Hatzipanagis has donated the amount of 3 million euros, and which will be named "Teaching building of medical and biological sciences, Dr. Artemis Hatzipanagis". while one of the five amphitheaters, which will be erected inside the said building will be named "KYTHREA", place of origin of the donor.

On behalf of Dr. Hatzipanagis, who resides in the United States of America, Mrs. Anna Manti was present, who signed the agreement document.

The Rector of the University of Cyprus, Professor Konstantinos Christofidis, after expressing his warm thanks and the deep appreciation of the university community to the Hadjipanagis family for the practical demonstration of trust in the University and the connection of the donor's name with the donor is particularly pleased that rooms inside the building will bear traditional Cypriot names.

 The President of the Council, Mr. Manthos Mavrommatis, referred to the modesty of Mr. Hatzipanagis, since as he noted, he did not ask for any publicity of his donation in the terms of the contract.

Mrs. Manti thanked the Rector and the President of the Council of the University of Cyprus on behalf of Dr. Artemis Hatzipanagis, emphasizing that it is with great pleasure and pleasure that he makes these moves, since he is given the opportunity to offer to his place that he loves as well as to honor the memory of his mother, of whom he had a particular weakness.

 It is noted that in the previous signing ceremony of his first donation, Dr. Artemis Hatzipanagis himself had characteristically stated: "I was lucky enough to gain financial independence. I decided to share a considerable amount of my financial fortune with something in Cyprus, at the University of Cyprus ", to emphasize that he feels proud to associate his parents' name with the University of Cyprus.
