The autopsy of the two unfortunate young people who lost their lives after an accident that occurred on Sunday night on Strovolos Avenue was performed.
The death of 20-year-old Maria Kelasidou, occurred from a severe craniocerebral injury, complete cross-section of the spine and spinal cord, while the death of 21-year-old George Athanassiou occurred from a severe craniocerebral injury of body and vital organs.
It is recalled that the 20-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle and after passing over the dividing island of the road, she entered the opposite flow of traffic, where she collided with a car driven by a 47-year-old.
The 20-year-old and the 21-year-old were trapped inside their vehicle and the members of the Fire Service needed the intervention to free them. They were then transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where a doctor on duty confirmed their death.
