The mother who a year ago and specifically on August 29, 2019 had killed her 12-year-old son, stabbed him while he was sleeping in their own house in Geri in the province of Nicosia, was acquitted by the court.
The woman to recall after her act tried to end her life without succeeding.
The court decision states, among other things, that the perpetrator is acquitted due to insanity that existed during the commission of the offense, which was committed as a result of a psychiatric disorder.
