Cleaned wild birds, nets, a sound production device that produces mimetic voices of wild birds and two complete cartridges were found in the car, the house and the estate of the 55-year-old, from Frenaros.
According to the Police, around 6.30 this morning, members of the MMAD Poaching Squad found a 55-year-old Greek Cypriot in a field in Frenaros chasing wild birds with a net and the use of a sound production device that produces mimetic voices of wild birds.
The 55-year-old was found in possession of a freshly killed wild bird which was confiscated.
A search followed, with his consent in the 55-year-old's car, home and premises where 35 nets were found and confiscated, 61 killed and cleaned wild birds, a sound production device that produces mimetic voices of wild birds and two full cartridges.
The 55-year-old was charged in writing and released to be summoned later.
The case is being investigated by the Deryneia Police Station
