Members of the MMAD Poaching Squad found three wild bird trapping nets installed in a fenced field in an area of Famagusta province.
From further examinations carried out, a 59-year-old man was identified, in whose presence the area was searched and the said networks were confiscated as evidence, as well as a deactivated device for the production of mimetic voices of wild birds. The 59-year-old was charged in writing to be summoned before a court. Xylofagou Police Station is investigating the case.
