For prey, a successful breeding season foretells a very good hunting year.

In view of the above and in accordance with the provisions of the recent amendment to the Law on the Protection and Management of Wild Birds and Game, the penalty provided for the killing, capture, harassment or pursuit of any species of wildlife in any way, including during the above period, starts at € 8.000 and increases accordingly: the number of wildlife species killed, arrested, harassed or persecuted, the number of wildlife species killed, arrested, harassed or persecuted and area and time of the offense.
