With Paphos raising the tone about the need to move AXIK from the capital to a tourist area in order to fulfill its role, the "war" around the Institute began for good.

The Mayor of Paphos, who last night convened an extraordinary meeting of the Coordinating Committee of Parties and Organizations of the province to coordinate the pressure towards the transfer of AXIK to the province, spoke today about a "closed circuit" in the capital that only takes care not to move the institution from Nicosia so that those involved do not "lose their peace", completely indifferent to its under-functioning.

The Mayor of Paphos complained that the professors of AXIK themselves all the previous years did not have the slightest involvement in the society and in the efforts of development of the Institute in the society, according to his expression. With the start of discussions on the possibility of relocation, however, ministers, parties and political leaders began to visit, as he said, to continue in their expression to receive their salary without being fired and indifferent to the fact that AXIK is underperforming with few students anymore.

Mr. Faidonos stressed that although the members of the Parliamentary Audit Committee from all parties opposed the move of AXIK from the capital, in the contacts that followed with the political leaders and other representatives of parties it was clear that there is now concern based on the data were brought before them.

A dispute between cities has already begun to emerge in the issue, after the Mayor of Paralimni, in his intervention in the Third of RIK, claimed that the conditions for the movement of AXIK are "cut and sewn" in the measures of Paphos, during his expression, asking for time margin to prepare its proposal and the province of Famagusta.
