The preparations of the Famagusta District Administration in view of Sunday's municipal elections are in their final stage.

Management teams under the supervision of the Famagusta Election Commissioner Angelos Agapios are preparing the ballot boxes which will be handed over to the Presidents tomorrow, Friday.

The required number of those who will man the polling stations has also been completed.

In the free area of ​​Famagusta there will be 71 polling stations with the largest being located in Ayia Napa - Center A with 663 registered voters while the smallest will operate in Dasaki Achnas - Center E - of the Municipality of Famagusta, with 73 registered voters.

214 voters of the Municipality of Lysis will also enter this same ballot box.

In the Municipality of Famagusta, Cyprus, there will be 74 polling stations with 31,440 registered voters.

There will be 10 polling stations in the free area of ​​the Province, as in Nicosia, 29 in Limassol, 23 in Larnaca and two polling stations in Paphos.

There will be 16 polling stations in the Municipality of Paralimni with 9254 registered voters, in Ayia Napa five (5) polling stations with 3.219 registered voters and in Sotira seven (7) polling stations with 3.934 registered voters.

In the Municipality of Deryneia in seven (7) polling stations the 4.242 registered voters will come to vote only for the members of the Municipal Council. For the refugees from Deryneia, it will operate from one polling station in all the provinces.

There will be 14 polling stations in the Municipality of Lysis with 5.261 registered voters, one in Dasaki, three in Nicosia, two in Limassol, seven in Larnaca and one in Paphos.

In the Municipality of Lefkonikos, there will be seven polling stations with 2.121 registered voters, two in Nicosia and one in the other provinces with that of Famagusta operating in Frenaros,

In the Municipality of Akanthos, there will be five polling stations with 1.287 registered voters, one per province.

As far as the communities are concerned, elections for the election of both community leaders and community councils will be held in Achna, Avgorou, Liopetri, Frenaros and Acheritou.

In the occupied communities, elections will be held for the election of a community leader and a community council in Engomi, Assia, Aphania, Agastina, Melanarka and in the parish of Anavrisi Rizokarpasou. In the parish of Agia Triada Rizokarpasou, elections will be held only for the members of the community council.

Elections for the election of only a common leader will be held in the communities of Agia Triada, Pigi, Makrasika, Spathariko,
Arnadi, Lapathos and Pyrga.

Finally, there will be a ballot box for the refugee voters of Kyrenia, Lapithos and Morphou at the Vergina High School in Larnaca.
