The Council of Ministers today approved a new recruitment plan for the long-term unemployed. Speaking to reporters at the Presidential Palace after the end of the Council of Ministers meeting, the Minister of Labor, Welfare and Social Security, Zeta Aimilianidou, said that the budget of the project is 7,3 million euros, which is co-financed by the European social fund.
He added that the plan "is aimed at the long-term unemployed and concerns a subsidy of 60% of wage costs. It is addressed to any company and is in the context of employing the unemployed ". Asked, she said that "the duration of employment is for ten months, where there will be a 60% subsidy and for an additional two months for which (salaries) must be paid by the company. It basically concerns a one-year hire ".
