Both locals and foreigners "lock" their love with a lock in various places on the island, coastal and not.
This habit characterizes several European capitals, with Paris and Amsterdam leading the way. Locals and foreigners alike express their love for their partner, leaving a lock with their initials, perhaps a love message, on one of the city's bridges.
In fact, a few days ago, Paris announced that puts up for auction "love locks" that lovers fall on its bridges, as it is estimated that all the padlocks weighed about half a ton, making the bridges endangered.
In Cyprus we do not have such a problem yet, but more and more couples are expressing their love by placing locks in some places, mostly bridges.
One of these points is the small wooden bridge in the main photo, in which some "love locks" have already been placed. The bridge is located in the port of Ayia Napa, between the fish taverns Vassos and Markos, where the large black pirate ship Black Pearl is anchored as usual.
Informatively, however, for those who do not know, the "official" bridge of the city's lovers, which was inaugurated 3 years ago, is located in the "Mavrokorona" area east of Ayia Napa, in the direction of Cabo Greco.
In this particular colorful wooden bridge, the erotic "signs" are in fact much more!
