The speech of the Minister in detail:
It is with great pleasure that I am with you tonight, at the annual dance party of the Federation of Associations and Guardians of Primary Schools of Famagusta.
The involvement of parents on a well-organized basis in the education of their children must be sought in every way. The responsibility for providing appropriate and effective education to children is not the sole responsibility of the school. Harmonious cooperation between the family and the school is one of the key factors in the success of the project of each school unit.
Especially in our country, where the institution of the family holds an important place in the organization and progress of society, parents are the closest collaborators of the teacher in the difficult task of educating and training children and young people.
The role of education in an ever-changing world is certainly multifaceted and complex. Parents and educators should be living role models of good living and behavior that will help our children set high goals, work systematically and effectively, love their homeland and care for the environment in which they live and bequeath to their own their children.
With these thoughts I would like to congratulate the President and the Board of Directors of the Federation of Associations and Guardians of Famagusta Primary Schools for the important work they perform and wish them good strength and good continuation.
