Appeals were filed today before the Famagusta District Court, which is meeting in Larnaca as an Electoral Court.
The appeals concern the Municipalities of Famagusta and Ayia Napa and were filed by the lawyers ARISTOFANIS A. GEORGIOU & ASSOCIATES LTD, ARISTOS DAMIANOU & ASSOCIATES LTD, the LAWYER TASO KYRMITSI.
In the case of the Municipality of Famagusta the appeal concerns an application for recount of votes, and in the case of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, concerns the procedure followed regarding the objections made regarding the registration of individuals in the electoral lists of the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
The appeals are signed as applicants by the candidate Mayors of Famagusta Symeon (Simos) Ioannou and Ayia Napa Vassos Vassilios and on behalf of AKEL the District Secretary of AKEL Famagusta Chrysanthos Zannettos.
