The assurance that the Cyprus Sports Organization will be the constant supporter of the Refugee Associations was given by the president of KOA, Mr. Pampos Stylianou, delivering the requirements of the annual sponsorship, based on the refugee plan… 

He stressed that despite the reduction of the CMO budget due to the economic crisis, refugee planning remained intact.

He focused on the multifaceted and multidimensional work carried out by the refugee associations, describing as heroic the efforts made by their agents. Due to his refugee background and the fact that he was the administrative agent of a refugee association, the president of the COM said that he knew first hand about the problems, but also the sacrifices made by the refugee associations to keep the flame of returning to our occupied territories unquenchable.

He assured that the Organization will always be by the side of the refugee associations and will soon meet with the Refugee Committee.

On behalf of the refugee unions, their president Mr. Kikis Filippou thanked the president and the CMO in general for his firm support, emphasizing the words of Mr. P. Stylianou, that the work performed by the refugee unions is multifaceted and multidimensional.

The sponsorship of KOA amounts to € 425.000,00 and based on defined criteria it was distributed as follows:
Anorthosis Famagusta, Nea Salamina Famagusta, Ethnikos Achnas from € 52.731,48, Doxa Katokopias, PAEEK Kyrenia, Ethnikos Assias from € 44.861,11, ASIL Lysis, Digenis Morfou, from 36.990,74Kerakos Irakos

Congratulations to APOEL
The president of KOA congratulated APOEL for qualifying for the "8" of the Champions League. "I feel the obligation to express the congratulations of all of us for this historic and unique achievement of the APOEL football team to qualify for the 8 best teams in Europe. "I think it is the classic case where we say that words are poor. Congratulations, therefore, on behalf of the CMO to all the contributors to this huge success", said among others Mr. Stylianou.
