The trial for the quadruple murder in Ayia Napa continued with the testimony of a defense witness on Monday, June 19th.

The first testimony in the Larnaca - Famagusta Criminal Court was made by the defense witness of the accused Panagiotis Pentavkas, Bulgarian Stefan Veljiev, who in June 2016 worked as a cook in a snack bar located near the "Stone Garden".

He testified that on June 23, shortly after 10 pm, he went outside to smoke and saw a black car, with black tinted windows, entering the parking lot and parking in a way that indicated that he would leave quickly.

Three people, dressed in black and wearing black hoods, got out of the car and walked briskly to "The Stone Garden".

He then heard gunshots, shot by shot, and saw flashes of explosions.

Velziev, however, testified that he had no eye contact with the restaurant where the killings took place.

He added, however, that after the shootings he saw two people running back to the car, with which they left at high speed.

The trial continues today, Tuesday.

The murder was committed on the night of June 23, 2016 at The Stone Garden restaurant and during the attack Theofanis Theofanous, otherwise Kalopsidiotis, the couple Elias and Skevi Hatziefthymiou and Yani Vogli, one of the perpetrators of the murder were killed.
