A new message against same-sex marriage was sent today by the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Ieronymos.

Arriving at the work of the Permanent Holy Synod, which begins today, the Archbishop, when asked by journalists about the attitude of the Church on same-sex marriage, referred to the decisions of the BIS.

"I do not wish you such a wedding"

He added, however, smiling: "You are all young... Be baptized. I do not wish you such marriages."

The meeting of the Holy Synod

From today until Thursday, March 7, the Permanent Holy Synod of the Church of Greece convenes, in order to deal with the issues of the Agenda.

It is recalled that a few days ago the Archbishop, when asked by journalists what the Church was thinking after the passage of the bill on the marriage of same-sex couples, emphasized that "it is an issue, for which we will position ourselves in the Permanent Holy Synod that will meet next week and we will decide from audience".
