A 17-year-old schoolgirl experienced terror in a bus of line 040, in Kallithea, who was sexually harassed by a 50-year-old man.
The incident occurred at noon on Thursday. When the 17-year-old boarded the bus, she realized that a 50-year-old passenger was staring at her.
The girl was annoyed and left the seat she was sitting on. Then she sat in the back of the bus next to a window and placed the bag on her feet.
The man followed her, went and sat next to her, while his hands were covered with a blouse. According to the 17-year-old, she suddenly felt a touch on her right leg near her genitals.
At first, the 17-year-old believed that the touch she felt was from the contact with her bag, which she had on her feet. However, as soon as she picked up her bag she saw his hand on her numb.
Shocked, the student started shouting. When the driver opened the doors to disembark passengers, the perpetrator tried to escape, but did not succeed and the other passengers managed to immobilize him.
The 17-year-old then alerted her mother, the bus came to a standstill, while citizens alerted the Police. Immediate Action police rushed to the scene, arrested the 50-year-old Nigerian and took him to the Kallithea Security Department.
Shortly afterwards, the 17-year-old girl, accompanied by her mother, went to the department where she requested his criminal prosecution.
A case was filed against the 50-year-old for insulting sexual dignity and he will be tried in Autophoros.
