The way in which a 43-year-old woman was tragically killed by her husband in the pharmacy they had in Kavala is shocking.

The murder of a woman took place on the night of Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Piges of the Municipality of Nestos in Kavala.

So far it has become known that the 55-year-old man killed his 43-year-old wife and then tried to end his life. However, in the end he did not commit suicide and so he called the police to declare the horrible crime.

More specifically, the 55-year-old strangled his wife in their pharmacy, with kavalaportal stating that he was pathologically jealous of her.

He tried to cover the tracks

Initially, the perpetrator tried to cover his tracks by pretending that the pharmacy would not open due to his wife's professional obligations.

He then tried in vain to end his life and so he surrendered to the Police. He is currently being treated at the General Hospital of Kavala.

According to kavalanews, the couple was originally from Amygdaleonas, while their children are 10 and 6 years old.

The tragic incident is being investigated by the Security Department of the Kavala Police Directorate.

"We realized that something had happened when the pharmacy did not open," says a neighbor. The crime in Kavala has shocked the local community. A man who lives very close to the pharmacy maintained by the 43-year-old stated to protothema.gr that the couple had not given rights until now.

"Yesterday afternoon, we were upset because the pharmacy did not open. We realized that something had happened because we had recently learned that he had asked him to divorce.

They have two children and never gave rights to the village to understand that something is happening. We are all shocked because the woman was remarkable and loved in the neighborhood. Of course no one can know what was really going on between them.
