Nikos Floriniotis lost his battle with cancer and died this morning at the People's Hospital at the age of 39, after a long hospitalization.

Shortly after the news of his death, the show "MEGA Good Morning" contacted Annoulia Florinioti by phone, but she was unable to make a statement. "I'm devastated, I can't apologize…" he said to me unapologetically.

His last post

About two weeks before his death, Nikos Floriniotis had made a post from the hospital, on the occasion of the visit of Kostas Hardavellas and had written: "I thank Mr. Kostas Hardavellas from the bottom of my heart for the honor he did me and he came to see me in the hospital and gave me his book by signing it, I will never forget that he was one of the first when he found out about my health problem and called me to give me courage!!!".

The revelation about the battle with his health happened shortly after the loss of his father, Yiannis Floriniotis. "I'm doing very well, thank God I came out to say it because I want to give courage to other people too, we have to fight, we have to do regular checks to catch up on things because I neglected it for that and I'm suffering right now" he said June in "Super Katerina".

He also revealed that: "My dad knew, we didn't tell him everything and in fact the last night when I went and did the treatment and left the hospital he said to me: "I want you to get well, my child, and I let die I have lived my life"... And it was the day before that he entered the hospital and after three days he died".

"I had it for five years and I didn't know it"

In October, he told Well magazine that: “If I didn't have my family, my mother and my sister, I don't know what I would do. They helped me a lot. To my father, because of his problem, we didn't tell him everything. The truth is that I suffered a lot. I was in horrible pain. I am currently doing immunotherapy, then chemo, then radiation, but they may not be needed. My doctor told me that I might survive it. I had it for five years and didn't know it. The doctors told me that despite my misfortune, I was lucky because it progressed very slowly and manifested itself 1,5 years ago. I thought it was a lipoma, removed it and again ignored it.'

"He's been giving me signs all these years"

He had spoken in more detail about his health problem in "Truths with Zina", five months ago, saying that he had a mole which turned into a lipoma. They removed it, but the sample that the doctors had kept for the biopsy, they lost.

Nikos Floriniotis did not pay much attention then and a year ago the same sign made its appearance again. Then he looked into it more and a doctor told him he had a malignant tumor.

"He's been giving me signs all these years. Since last year I started losing weight, I had fatigue, just because I had covid-19 I had various things last year, I didn't pay attention, I thought it was from the corona virus. I carried it for five years. This, despite the fact that I was young, developed very, very slowly," said Nikos Floriniotis, and his mother emphasized: "That saved him, in my opinion."

“It's melanoma. We're talking about GPs I went to at first and they couldn't find it. The first two said it was lipoma and I told them I had to get it out now, "no don't worry" they told me. One doctor sent me to another, I changed about 10," added Nikos Floriniotis.
