Tragic development in the case of the newborn and his 36-year-old mother, who is being treated with a coronavirus in Thessaloniki.

According to GRtimes.gr, the infant who was also intubated lost the battle.

Doctors were forced to perform a caesarean section to save the 36-year-old baby who is not vaccinated. The baby who was born a few hours ago and was only 22 weeks old was not sure if he would make it as he was on the verge of survival due to the time of pregnancy.

It is noted that in Ippokratio a total of 8 children are treated with coronavirus, at the same time that 26 of the 28 ICU beds of the hospital are occupied.

"The diagnostic test teams of EODY should be increased, in order to decongest the hospitals", suggested the representative of the employees at the Hippocratic Hospital in Thessaloniki, George Dontsios, while he also referred to the difficult working conditions experienced by the hospital staff.

"We have two years to take leave, and the employees started to get sick, without being able to miss their job," he clarified.
