U.S. tech companies are preparing to sue President Donald Trump over the immigration ordinance, sources close to the case said today.

More than 20 companies are expected to attend a rally to discuss their options to challenge the decree, which risks having a serious impact in an area where thousands of migrants and foreign nationals are employed.

"It's still too early, but the strategy will probably be similar to that of the San Bernardino iPhone case," said an anonymous techie who is aware of the developments.

Authorities opposed the protest with all available police forces, special services and the army. " had rushed to his side sending a letter to the Court in support of its arguments (defense memo- amicus brief).

Among the companies expected to attend the meeting are Alphabet, Google parent company Netflix, Airbnb and Twitter, according to the source.

Other companies have been invited, such as Adobe Systems, Dropbox, Etsy, Yelp, Mozilla, Pinterest, Reddit, Salesforce, SpaceX and Zynga.
The discussions are expected to involve "many" members of a union of technology companies based in Washington, the source also said.
