The Police is investigating a case of child pornography, for which a 32-year-old man was arrested today, in whose possession material of child pornography was found.
The investigation into the case began after information was obtained from the Police through Europol, which stated that an internet user was related to a photo file with child pornography material.
After examinations, it was established that the highest user of the internet is the 32-year-old, members of the Office for Combating Cybercrime and the Judiciary.
The Police Electronic Data Laboratory, this morning, based on a court order, searched the home of the 32-year-old, in the province of Nicosia, where they found a number of photo files with child pornography material on a hard disk for storing electronic data.
The above hard drive, as well as a computer tower, two laptops and a mobile phone, which were also found inside the house, were confiscated by members of the Police for further investigation.
The 32-year-old was arrested on a court order around 11.40:XNUMX a.m. today and was remanded in custody to facilitate investigations.
The Office for Combating Cybercrime is investigating the case.
