Following information received from Europol that an account holder / user on a social networking platform had uploaded and sent child pornography material to another user, members of the Cybercrime Sub-Directorate arrested a 46-year-old man.
Specifically, after evaluating this information and examinations that followed, it was found that the holder / user of the suspicious account is 46 years old, who was arrested yesterday with a court warrant and was detained to facilitate investigations. In his possession was found a mobile phone which was confiscated as evidence.
The Cybercrime Sub-Directorate is investigating the case.
