A case of child pornography is being investigated by the Police, whose members arrested a 20-year-old resident of Larnaca today, in order to facilitate the investigations.
The investigation into this new case began following information received from Europol. According to the information of a user of a social networking page, he allegedly uploaded a number of files of sexual abuse of minors on the internet, through his account.
The examinations of the Cybercrime Prosecution Branch provided a testimony against the 20-year-old, on the basis of which an arrest warrant was issued against him.
The 20-year-old was located and arrested this morning and was taken into custody. A mobile phone was found in his possession, which was received to be sent for scientific examinations.
The Cybercrime Prosecution Division is investigating the case.
