The Pancyprian Hoteliers Association is strengthening the State's effort to deal with the pandemic. The President of PASYXE Haris Loizidis informed in a letter to the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis about the intention of the Association to support in practice the fight to limit the spread of the virus COVID-19.

In particular, Mr. Loizidis informed President Anastasiadis that PASYXE, through the Board of Directors and its Members, will contribute the amount of € 100.000, in an effort to help address the effects of the pandemic. This amount is in addition to contributions made voluntarily by members of the Association.

It is also worth noting that several member hotels of the Association responded to the call of the Ministry of Health both to host our repatriated compatriots for a period of 15 days for precautionary reasons, and for the safe rest of the medical and nursing staff who are on the front line and give titanium fight against the pandemic.

As pointed out in the circular of PASYXE to its members, "our Association and its members can not remain indifferent to the increased needs of the state." This includes the decision taken during a teleconference on April 7, 2020 by the Board of Directors of the Association for the contribution of € 100.000.

As emphasized in the letter of the President of the Association to the President of the Republic, PASYXE remains a help in the efforts always in cooperation with the Government, in order to achieve the resumption of the tourism industry, making it - and this time - the sector that will contribute to economic recovery.

On this occasion, PASYXE conveys his wishes for a HAPPY EASTER and a GOOD RESURRECTION, with the urge to stay at home to ensure health both individually and socially. With patience and strength, our country will be able to overcome the effects of the pandemic.
