Police went to the house where they found the three minor children alone
A 13-year-old man reportedly called the police stating that his mother left him alone at home to look after his 10-year-old brother and another 6-year-old friend.
Police after the complaint of the 13-year-old went to the house where they located the three minor children to be alone in the house. The three minors were immediately transferred to a child protection institution while an arrest warrant was issued against the 34-year-old and 37-year-old from Limassol.
The two women were arrested on Wednesday afternoon and after being interrogated were taken into custody in order to appear before the District Court in order to be issued a detention order against them to facilitate the interrogations.
The crime of abuse of a minor under the age of 16 is being investigated against the two women, while according to information, the crime of domestic violence is also being investigated against the 34-year-old mother of the two boys. The minors were immediately placed in the care of the Welfare Office.
