A U.S. Navy plane with 11 people on board crashed in the sea off the coast of Japan, southeast of Okinawa, the U.S. military said.
According to the BBC, the plane carried the eleven passengers on the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, which is sailing in the Philippine Sea.
The cause of the crash and the identities of the crew and passengers have not been made public until their relatives are notified, according to a statement from the US military.
