Traffic chaos threatens Berlin, after the discovery of an air bomb of World War II very close to the main train station of the German capital.

The city authorities estimate that the problem will remain until Friday, when the bomb is expected to be controlled by pyrotechnicians.

The bomb, which weighed 500 kilograms, came from bombings in the city during World War II and is located at a construction site.

Authorities plan to evacuate Central Station, one of the largest in Europe, and to evacuate Charité Hospital, Europe's largest with 13.000 patients.

Thoughts are being made by the authorities even about the closure of Tegel Airport from time to time.

All of the above will create a major traffic problem in the German capital, but also significant delays in public transport, as its main lines pass through this point.
