Under draconian measures today is Paris, with the mobilization of 10.000 police officers for the safety of heads of state and government and other high-ranking guests in the French capital for the centennial event marking the end of World War I.
Three areas in the center of the capital are completely blocked from traffic: around the Arc de Triomphe, around the presidential palace and around Villette, where the "Peace Forum" will take place.
Around 2.000 police officers have been deployed around the Triumphal Arch, to which should be added the security that accompanies Donald Trump (700 people), as well as members of Vladimir Putin's security.
At the Villette showroom, there are already 2.600 police officers to protect the site during the Forum and the Philharmonic concert to be held after its end.
It should also be noted that the police forces are on foot because a demonstration against Trump is scheduled to take place in the Republic Square (Republique) at 16:00 Greek time. There are strong fears that 200-400 Black Blockers may meet there.
It is the largest mobilization of police forces in Paris since the organization of the COP21 climate conference in 2015, but it was then the period after the terrorist attacks.
