Swimming next to sharks is dangerous after all…
Another diver was recorded by a German tourist who was attacked by a shark while diving in the waters around the Brother Islands in the Red Sea.
The video shows a group of divers moving among the fish, among which was the shark, when suddenly the German tourist received a bite on the leg with the other divers rushing to his aid.
The German tourist, whose details have not been made public, was then first transported to the boat with which he had reached the diving point and then to a hospital in order to treat his injuries.
His assessment is that the shark was startled by the bubbles coming out of the oxygen bottle and wanted to explore what exactly was going on.
The diver who recorded the attack said he released the video to teach other divers a lesson. "Many told me that the sharks should be removed from the specific waters but what they do not understand is that we entered his 'house' and not the other way around. "It's not a 'Shark Jaws' story, but a case of bad luck."
Following the announcement of the incident, however, diving in the area was banned as a total of four divers have been attacked since the beginning of June.
