Two people were killed and four others were injured in a fire at a shopping mall in Boise, in the northwestern United States, local police said Monday.
The perpetrator was arrested
The alleged perpetrator, who apparently had no accomplices, was arrested and the danger has now passed for the population, said Ryan Lee, chief of police in Boise - the capital and most populous city of Idaho - during press conference.
According to Mr. Lee, police were notified at around 13:50 (local time; 22:50 Greek time) that fire was heard in a shopping center in Boise and that "at least one person was hit" by bullets.

When they arrived on the scene, law enforcement forces engaged in an exchange of fire with the suspect. A police officer was injured.
"We are not really in a position at this stage to refer to any motive" of the suspect, the police chief noted, judging that "it is really too early to make assumptions".
No details were released about the victims or the condition of the four injured.
