In a Twitter post, the Microsoft co-founder points out, however, that he still believes that if the right steps are taken, end titles of the pandemic could fall within 2022.
Just when it seemed like life would return to normal, we could be entering the worst part of the pandemic. Omicron will hit home for all of us. Close friends of mine now have it, and I've canceled most of my holiday plans.

Bill Gates points out that "If there is good news", that is, the Omicron variant spreads so rapidly that, in its estimation, once it becomes dominant in a country, the wave that will trigger will be shorter than three months.
"Things can be bad these months, but I still believe that if we take the right steps the pandemic could end in 2022," he said.

If there's good news here, it's that omicron moves so quickly that once it becomes dominant in a country, the wave there should last less than 3 months. Those few months could be bad, but I still believe if we take the right steps, the pandemic can be over in 2022.

He points out that his close friends have been infected with the Omicron variant, and he has canceled most of his plans for the Christmas holidays.
"I know it's frustrating to be in another holiday season with Covid waiting. But it will not be like that forever. "One day the pandemic will end and the better we take care of each other, the faster this time will come," concludes Bill Gates in his messages.

I know it's frustrating to go into another holiday season with COVID looming over us. But it won't be like this forever. Someday the pandemic will end, and the better we look after each other, the sooner that time will come.
