A suicide bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruiting center.
At least ten people were killed and five were injured.

The perpetrator approached the building complex on foot, in an area where embassies are housed, including the American one.

"Before the suicide bomber reached his target, the brave security forces recognized him and stopped him. But, before firing, he managed to detonate the explosives. "Two soldiers were killed, the rest of the victims are all civilians."
According to what international news agencies broadcast, among the victims are two women who were passing through the area with their vehicle.
Islamic State was quick to claim responsibility for the attack.
The terrorist organization has been active in Afghanistan since January 2015 and has been responsible for a large number of bombings in recent months.
