Saad al-Hariri announced today that he has suspended his resignation from the Lebanese Prime Minister in response to a request from President Michel Aoun for a dialogue.
"I have submitted my resignation to President Aoun today and he has asked me to wait for further dialogue on the reasons (for which it was submitted) and the political background and I have responded," Saad al-Hariri said in a televised address.
Immediately after the announcement, Mr. Hariri was present at the celebrations for Lebanon's Independence Day.
